Clearing the confusion in the different types of Gerber LMF II Knives - Survival Aseki vs vs infantry

A word of caution if you buy this type of knife are not even many players, different models. I have seen so many brick and mortar shops and online stores sell the knife under the false name wrong, so beware! It may be worth paying a little 'more than a reputable dealer to ensure you get exactly what you want.

There are three (not two) Gerber LMF II Survival Knife Aseki and infantry. Most people think there were only twoTypes issued. Here are the differences.

The Gerber LMF II Aseki version comes with a pouch, a knife, two leg belts, Safety Knives, Safety Cutters, and sheath. Find the supplement to the knife blades to handle security. The Aseki only green leaves, and is resistant INFRA-RED.

The Gerber LMF II Survival version comes with a pouch, a knife, two leg belts, safety knives, safety knives and sheath. The degree of extra security for the knife bladesprovided in the handle. Survival is the brown version in camel color. This is not resistance to IR.

The Gerber LMF II Infantry version comes with jacket, belt and leg. The infantry version is in the leaves green, camel brown, and my favorite ... Black.

There is another important issue that you should know. From January 2008 to April 2008, the steel of this knife has been temporarily changed from Sandvik 12C27 SS 440A U.S. SS. MayProduction started in 2008 with the original steel rear. Gerber steel, due to lack of material available for change. SS-440A us was the closest match they could get.

These knives are great, and I recommend them. They are excellent for hunting, camping, survival, and also saw action in foreign countries. Are you a good and solid fixed blade, you can not go looking for one of these models were wrong.

Here are the model numbers of various typesKnives.

7 criteria for successful survival in the desert Shelter

The following are some basic criteria when it comes to building a shelter for survival. Depending on the situation (injury, location, etc. ..) will not always be used in a position to all but the more you make the hottest, you will.

I remember the first time, I built a shelter, seemed to Swiss cheese. The wind blew through and then it rained. The only good thing is that I had a fire, but also burned. But there were many lessons learned to date, we can see thatWorks.

The seven criteria for a successful survival nature reserves

First heat (air dead space) - you want to create a dead space, air traps heat in a low door, and next steps.

The wind in the second and water (above and below) - In the wind can blow the case if the water. So if you see the holes, you're probably not stay dry or warm.

Third for the construction of small - a small shelter is easier to heat and light.

Strong 4 - The first rule of allEmergency, not worse. Well, if you fall on your property you are not good, not to mention that it is not very hot either.

Easy to build fifth (keep it simple) - Sometimes when you start the creative juices and we forget that it is cold and dark, to keep things simple and build to survive. Remember, the goal is to be here for a short period is not long vacation.

Sixth slopes of the South (Rocky for radiant heat) - south side is open and heated by the sun, whereNorth are mostly dark, damp and cold.

Seventh 50-75 meters of the canyon - the cold air and warm air rises and therefore the earth and make you warmer.

These are the basic criteria for survival in nature and shelter the more you can follow to help protect you.

Many people do not practice their emergency skills or the use of their emergency equipment happened to a real emergency. The only problem with this approach is that it is a bad time to saysomething does not work or do not know how. I always told my students and use to test their skills and equipment to find out what really works, so when the time comes they really need to count on it.

Remember the "repetition is the mother of skill" and, after some accumulation will be a veteran.
