7 criteria for successful survival in the desert Shelter

The following are some basic criteria when it comes to building a shelter for survival. Depending on the situation (injury, location, etc. ..) will not always be used in a position to all but the more you make the hottest, you will.

I remember the first time, I built a shelter, seemed to Swiss cheese. The wind blew through and then it rained. The only good thing is that I had a fire, but also burned. But there were many lessons learned to date, we can see thatWorks.

The seven criteria for a successful survival nature reserves

First heat (air dead space) - you want to create a dead space, air traps heat in a low door, and next steps.

The wind in the second and water (above and below) - In the wind can blow the case if the water. So if you see the holes, you're probably not stay dry or warm.

Third for the construction of small - a small shelter is easier to heat and light.

Strong 4 - The first rule of allEmergency, not worse. Well, if you fall on your property you are not good, not to mention that it is not very hot either.

Easy to build fifth (keep it simple) - Sometimes when you start the creative juices and we forget that it is cold and dark, to keep things simple and build to survive. Remember, the goal is to be here for a short period is not long vacation.

Sixth slopes of the South (Rocky for radiant heat) - south side is open and heated by the sun, whereNorth are mostly dark, damp and cold.

Seventh 50-75 meters of the canyon - the cold air and warm air rises and therefore the earth and make you warmer.

These are the basic criteria for survival in nature and shelter the more you can follow to help protect you.

Many people do not practice their emergency skills or the use of their emergency equipment happened to a real emergency. The only problem with this approach is that it is a bad time to saysomething does not work or do not know how. I always told my students and use to test their skills and equipment to find out what really works, so when the time comes they really need to count on it.

Remember the "repetition is the mother of skill" and, after some accumulation will be a veteran.
